Miller Canfield is currently accepting applications from licensed attorneys for upcoming remote document review projects beginning in March and April 2022.
As part of the firm’s widely respected litigation and alternative dispute resolution group, this role requires assisting large teams with complex litigation and discovery issues. Attorneys will use document review platforms (such as Relativity) to review and code documents for responsiveness, confidentiality, issues, and privilege; perform a substantive analysis of documents to prepare well-organized and well-written memoranda regarding fact issues; assist with the preparation of privilege and redaction logs; assist with deposition preparation; work effectively in a team environment and with existing members of the litigation support team, and handle additional litigation support activities as needed.
Ideal candidates will have an inquisitive mind that can assist the legal team with developing the facts to support the legal theories of the case, be organized, detail-oriented, and have strong legal writing and communication skills. Must be licensed and in good standing with a state bar, preferably Michigan. Relativity experience a plus, but not required – we will provide training to help team members succeed.
