Miller Canfield, a mid-size international law firm recognized for its representation in significant domestic and cross-border transactions and a widely respected management-side employment litigation and labor law practice, seeks an attorney to join its Employee Benefits and ERISA practice. The position may be based out of our Chicago or Michigan offices.
Ideal candidates will have at least 7 years’ experience handling employee benefits, ERISA, and executive compensation matters. Must be skilled in the design, implementation and administration of qualified retirement plans, health and welfare plans, executive compensation arrangements, insurance benefits, fringe benefits, deferred compensation arrangements, and incentive bonus programs. A portable book of business is a plus, but not required for the position.
Successful candidates will have a strong academic record, excellent drafting and analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Must be licensed and in good standing in Michigan or Illinois, or eligible for admission by examination or waiver.
